Nudity, or when a bare ass is appropriate The body has always been the subject of fascination, human sexuality and curiosity about the human being, accompanies us throughout our lives. Even small children are curious and are human beings. And this fascination, judging by the success of beautiful women among older men who do not leave their side for a moment, they, or their bodyguards. I do not mean pool attendants and gardeners, but those more loyal to the boss part of the staff. Art is inseparably accompanied by nudity. Nudity presented in figurative art is one of the most important and frequently discussed topics. It allows for frequent encounters with people and an attempt to answer questions that concern us as humanity. But, can you see those painted, even long ago naked women and men in the company space? Is it appropriate to have a naked man in the office? Most people responsible for professional activities will answer that absolutely not. If people are ruled by: power, money, fame, or sex, apart from very restrictively separated businesses, the latter is not likely to be the reason for meetings in an average profit-oriented organization. But what about the bathroom? In the bathroom, an elegant one, an office or company headquarters, there is also a place for art, not necessarily so formal. So these can be nudes. Of course, this is also a location for lighter works, on paper, limited edition prints, old posters or similar. Of course, you have to remember about the possible impact of moisture on works placed in such locations. Some companies have places where nudity is appropriate. This is an informal part of the office for rest or recreation, a dining room, or an atmospheric meeting room with a glass and a cigar. Where backstage conversation can be accompanied by more informal-looking characters. Nudity presented by classical artists is viewed slightly differently, and is accepted, for example, on the streets of Italian cities, practically every corner. This exclusion also applies particularly to twentieth-century art, where, despite being figurative works, they are not necessarily clearly ready to present the body with photographic realism. In this case, the rules regarding nudity are often more liberal. It is also worth considering the color scheme of abstraction, which may turn out to be too bedding for specific places, due to the use of paints reserved for shades of flesh or underwear. Interestingly, the issue of prohibitions and marginalization of works is completely different in the case of sculptures, which are much more understandingly accepted in public spaces, regardless of the completeness of the models' outfits. However, there are companies where the body, not presented in an unambiguously sexual way, has its justification. These are all kinds of medical, pharmaceutical or biomedical companies, although this is not an exhaustive list. Of course, they can also find their place in all kinds of wellness spa, beauty salon, aesthetic salon spaces, etc. The sexual aspect is often touched upon in works presented on the inner walls of locker doors in changing rooms, especially of male specializations, mechanics, or other workshop workers, but it marginalizes it, quite consciously, due to the rather common low quality of the works presented there. We are all human, so nothing human is alien to us, at least in theory it should work. Contrary to appearances, this naked ass can find its place on the walls of many headquarters, even of a noble company.
